A product of famed GM designer, Harley Earl, the 1941 Cadillac Series 62 was a showstopper from the moment it was announced due to its more streamlined ‘torpedo’ design. An elimination of the earlier model’s running boards and a more sloped windshield ensured the car appeared far more modern than its forebears. All 1941 Cadillacs received a 150hp 346ci ‘L-Head’ V8 which was more than up to the task to propel the cars smoothly and quickly up to speed.

Naturally, the cars received plenty of standard amenities, especially when ordered as a convertible. A power top, leather interior, power brakes, a heater, and an AM radio were all standard equipment on the drop-top Series 62s. As they were when new, 1941 Series 62s are well regarded by critics and enthusiasts alike for their luxurious driving experience and exceptional build quality.

A CCCA Full Classic, the car won an AACA Senior National First Prize shortly after completion. After being acquired by CCCA Master Judge and Concours Judge, Mr. Kim Pierce of Scottsdale, Arizona in 2021, this Cadillac was fully serviced with all fluids drained and replaced. Shortly afterwards, the car was awarded a Second-in-Class and a Jerry Hanauska Memorial Award in the Forrest Grove Concours d’Elegance in 2022.
